Celebrating 70 years of successful history

Cetetherm has a long and rich history that stretches back to 1955 when CTC began manufacturing copper lined water heaters and heat exchangers in Ronneby, southeast Sweden.
The name Cetetherm, a play on words
After several organizational changes over the years, the company Cetetherm was formally formed in 1991. The name came about when naming a new product line of Heat Interface Units for single family houses, a play on words of "CTC and heat". The management thought the name was so good that it eventually became the company name.
Acquired by NIBE Industrier in 2018
In 2005, Cetetherm´s product range is integrated into Alfa Laval and the Cetetherm brand is replaced by Alfa Laval. During the years at Alfa Laval, development and manufacturing of district heating substations continued under the "working name" Cetetherm. The company was acquired by NIBE Industrier on June 1, 2018. This meant a return of the brand and the company Cetetherm - the beginning of the company we see today but with a long and solid knowledge behind it.
70 years celebration
This year, 2025, Cetetherm celebrates its 70th anniversary as one of the market leaders in sustainable energy solutions for future generations.
The market spans Scandinavia and Europe, with subsidiaries in France and the Czech Republic. Today, Cetetherm is located in Ronneby, southeast Sweden, in a completely newly built factory of 4,000 square meters.
"We are incredibly proud of our 70-year history, and we look forwart to continuing with innovative solutions and contributing to the green transition that is a must to achieve Europe´s climate goals. Here, our products play a decisive role and with our three watchwords passion, innovation and commitment, we look forward with great confidence to the continued development of Cetetherm", says Andreas Johnsson, CEO Cetetherm Group.
